Zak Cherfa
Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
HCPC Registered | CSP Member
Zak Cherfa is a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist specialising in strength led rehabilitation, load management, and high performance MSK care.
He works with athletes, runners, gym-goers, and physically active individuals, as well as people dealing with persistent or recurrent musculoskeletal pain, helping them return to movement with confidence, resilience, and long-term results not short-term fixes.
Zak's clinical focus is on shoulder, knee, and ankle injuries, including dislocations, tendon and ligament tears, rotator cuff pathology, nerve-related conditions, and load-management issues that commonly limit training and performance. He has extensive experience managing overuse injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and complex MSK presentations, particularly where strength, control, and confidence have been lost.
His approach combines thorough biomechanical assessment, targeted manual therapy, and precise exercise rehabilitation prescriptions, underpinned by progressive loading principles. Every programme is structured, purposeful, and tailored designed to transfer directly into real-world demands, whether that's returning to sport, training in the gym, running pain-free, or sustaining performance over time.
Zak has worked across private practice, hospital, and community services, managing complex cases independently and supporting patients with high physical demands and long-standing pain. He is known for his clear communication, honest guidance, and performance-focused mindset, ensuring patients understand their injury, the "why" behind their rehab, and how to move forward with confidence.
Alongside clinical practice, Zak is an experienced mentor and educator, delivering advanced MSK training and supporting the development of other physiotherapists. He was awarded Debut of the Year 2024 in private MSK practice and is recognised as a top-rated Senior MSK Physiotherapist, with over 400 five-star patient reviews reflecting consistent outcomes and patient trust.
Zak's goal is simple and that is build strong, robust bodies that hold up under load in sport, training, and everyday life.
Zak doesn't believe in generic rehab plans or passive treatment approaches.
His work is built around strength, load tolerance, and movement quality, the foundations that actually keep people training, performing, and pain-free long term. Every assessment looks beyond symptoms to understand why an injury occurred, what's maintaining it, and how to build a body that can tolerate real-world demands.

Mikael Porath Petersen
Chiropractor
Mikael’s journey into chiropractic began after a serious back injury led him to discover the transformative power of spinal care. He graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 1997 and immediately began working with professional athletes, including members of the Danish National Football Team. Never one to shy away from a challenge, Mikael is currently working with an Olympic swimmer dealing with nerve irritation affecting her muscle strength—a case he’s confident will end with her back on the podium.
His early work with elite athletes revealed that chiropractic is not only effective for relieving pain and restoring nerve function—it also unlocks the body’s full potential when the spine is free from interference. This insight has shaped Mikael’s lifelong commitment to helping both athletes and the general public achieve optimal performance and well-being.
In recent years, Mikael has focused on postural correction and the relationship between foot mechanics, gait, and spinal function. His deep passion for chiropractic remains unchanged, and when asked what he would do if he weren’t a chiropractor, he answers without hesitation: “I would still be a chiropractor.”
A strong advocate for education, Mikael regularly gives talks at companies, schools, sports clubs, and interest groups throughout London. He also hosts weekly posture and health seminars at his clinic, emphasizing that many of today’s common health issues could be prevented—or significantly improved—through simple lifestyle changes. “Education,” he says, “is the most important part of my job.”
Known for his warm bedside manner, Mikael credits his early experience working weekends in a Danish nursing home for shaping his compassionate approach to patient care. Today, he continues to deepen his expertise by traveling globally to attend seminars led by top chiropractic researchers and thought leaders.
Mikael lives by the principle that the best chiropractors understand not just what to do, but how and why they do it.
